Willis Keith Boyd, 87, died at home on Tuesday August 24, 2021 and is now the loving arms of
Jesus.
Willis Keith was born on June 12, 1934 in Wittensville, Kentucky.  Son of the late Howard and
Mabel (Brown) Boyd, Keith graduated from Oil Springs High school in 1952.  He was a Korean
War Veteran while serving in the US Navy.  After leaving the Navy, he started his career as an
electrician by enrolling in the apprenticeship program with local IBEW 317.  His 40 year career
culminated with being co-owner of Boyd Associated Electric, Inc.  He finished his career by
working with Pritchard Electric where he retired at age 62. After retirement, he and Mary
traveling throughout the US in their motorhome, visiting all but a few states, including 3 trips to
Alaska.
Willis Keith will be dearly missed by Mary Arlene (Lewis), his loving wife of 65 years, his three
children, Deborah (Steve) Click, Wayne (Mary) Boyd and Nathan (Janni) Boyd, 7 grandchildren,
Sheri (Shayne) Sperry, Sarah (Travis) Ervin, Stefany (Jeremy) Stephenson, Ryan (Megan) Boyd,
Caitlyn (Matthew) Noble, Ashton (Madeline) Boyd, Lydia Boyd and 11 great-grandchildren and
several cousins, nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his sister Patty Boyd VanHoose and
his brother George (Jesse) Boyd and, countless friends and co-workers from coast to coast.
He became a follower Jesus Christ in 1956.  He was a faithful servant of Jesus in various
ministries in several churches within the Tri-State area and was member of Wildwood Baptist
Church at the time of his passing.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association
(www.alz.org). Alzheimer’s was a cause that Willis Keith was passionate about as he had been
Mary’s full time care giver for the past 12 years, while she battled this cruel disease.
A time of visitation will be held at Lazear Funeral home from 6 – 8pm on Saturday, August 28th.
A family graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park on Sunday afternoon at 2 pm.
Anyone wishing to see the service may do so through Lazear Funeral Home’s Facebook page at
that time. Lazear Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Boyd.
