Sharon Ann Delawder, 68, of Ashland, Ky died Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Kings Daughters Medical Center. She was born May 15, 1955 in Ashland, Ky a daughter of the late James Alpha and Hazel Pennington Wheeler. She was a backsurger for Corbens LTD and was a deli worker at Jacks South Ashland market for many years. She was a graduate of Boyd County High School and a member of 21st St Tabernacle. She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by a brother Paul A. Wheeler and two sisters Lavona Faye Alexander and Brenda Wheeler. She is survived by her husband John Delawder, two daughters Shanna (Andy) Mullins of Ashland, Ky and Stacy (Michael) Wilson of Ashland, Ky, four sons Frank Delawder of Fort Gay, WV, Scott Delawder of Ironton, OH, Jeff (Dusty) Delawder of Ironton, OH, and Ryan (Shanyl) Kittle of Lancaster, OH, 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, three brothers James Everett Wheeler, Gerry Lee Wheeler, and Clyde William Wheeler all of Ashland, Ky, three sisters Janet Marie Hall of Ashland, Ky, Vurla Christine Branham of Ashland, Ky, and Rosemary Hall of Olive Hill, Ky, and several nieces and nephews. Services for Sharon will be conducted Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 11 am at the Lazear Funeral Home Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Rick Porter with burial to follow in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday, April 1, 2024 from 6 to 8 pm. Lazear Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to have been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Delawder.
