Sean Clark Atkins, 56, of Ashland, Ky died Monday, May 13, 2024 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. He was born December 2, 1967 in Ashland, Ky a son of Phillip Atkins and Joan (Tom) Johnston. He served in the United States Navy for four years and was a Union Pipefitter. He is survived in addition to his parents by his wife Holly Compton Atkins, a daughter Megan Atkins of Ashland, Ky, a son Ryan Atkins of Ashland, Ky, three step-children Jake Hall, Skylar Hall, and Sydney Damron all of Ashland, Ky, four grandchildren Isla Gibbs, Odin Hall, Beau Hall, and Westyn Damron, a brother Todd (Jennifer) Atkins, of Russell, Ky, a half-sister Sophia Atkins of Lexington, Ky, a nephew Seth Atkins, a niece Josie Atkins, and a friend Lesley McCullough of Ashland, Ky. Services for Sean will be conducted Friday, May 17, 2024 at 11 AM at the Lazear Funeral Home Chapel in Ashland by Rev. V. D. Andrew Garner, KHS. With military honors to be presented at 1PM Friday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East by Ceredo-Kenova American Legion Post 93. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before service time Friday. Lazear Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to have been entrusted with the care of Mr. Atkins.
