Scottie Allen “Scott” Adkins, 53, of Raceland, Ky died Monday, October 20, 2025, at his home surrounded by family. He was born October 9, 1972, in Ashland, Ky, a son of the late Ballard Junior and Sandra E. Meadows Adkins. He was a member of Ironville Independent Baptist Church. He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by a grandchild Madylyn Adkins. He is survived by his loving wife Tonya Adkins, five children Zach (Jaimie) Adkins of Ashland, Ky, Zach (Danielé) Hunter of Ashland, Ky, Bobbie Jo (Gareth) Tyson of Flatwoods, Ky, Shawn (Tiffany) Adkins of Ashland, Ky, and Sara (Cameron) Lester of Huntington, WV, a brother Steve Adkins of Ashland, Ky, eight grandchildren Lexi, Aubrey, Chelsea, Haizlee, Harm, Maverick, Silas, and Malakai, and his faithful fur-baby Gigi. Funeral services for Scott will be conducted Monday, October 27, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at the Lazear Funeral Home Chapel in Ashland by Brother Darrell Wilburn with burial to follow in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 6 to 8 P.M. Lazear Funeral home is both honored and privileged to have been entrusted with the care of Mr. Adkins.
