Phyllis Ann Burke, 79, of Ashland, Ky passed away Sunday, August 2, 2026 at UK Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. She was born October 1, 1946 in Ashland, Ky a daughter of the late Leonard and Goldie Mae Hanners Terry, Sr. Phyllis was a homemaker in her own home raising her five children. She loved to volunteer and help people. She volunteered at Helping Hands, Salvation Army, and Goodwill Outreach Programs. She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by four sisters, a brother, and a son-in-law Rick Frederick. She is survived by her five children George Allen (Debra) Presley of Summitt, Ky, Melissa Ann Frederick of Worthington, Ky, Richard Lynn Robinson of Ashland, Ky, Janie Jewel Robinson of Ashland, Ky, and Mary May (Gary) Smith of Dunbar, WV, 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a fiancé Lee Pennington of Ashland, Ky, three brothers Bill Terry of Ashland, Ky, Leonard Terry, Jr. of Cape Coral, Fl, and Richard Terry of Ashland, Ky, a sister Oliver Harshbarger of Coal Grove, Oh, and her two fur babies Mary Rose and Harley. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Whosoever Worship Center in Ashland by Pastor Edgar Nethercutt. Lazear Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to have been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Burke.
