Mayme Jane Roberts, 79, of Ashland, Ky made her heavenly journey home Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at her home in Ashland. She was born September 26, 1946 in Ashland a daughter of the late John L. and Margaret “Peg” Hacguard Kouns. Mayme was a hairdresser and a homemaker. She was a member of Williams Creek Church, she loved God and her family above all. She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by her son Michael D. Roberts, a grandchild Micah Roberts, and her five brothers and sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Dale P. Roberts, a son Patrick Y. ( Jennifer) Roberts of Ashland, Ky, a step-son Charles J. (Belinda) Roberts of Winchester, Ky, four grandchildren Faith Roberts, Dylan Roberts, Taylor (Ryan) Rankin, and Luke Mathews, and a great-grandson Walker Rankin. A graveside service for Mayme will be held Wednesday, January 28, at 2 pm at the Mausoleum Chapel at Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland, by Brother Mickey King. Friends may call at the Lazear Funeral Home Chapel in Ashland from 12 noon to 1:30pm Wednesday. Lazear Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to have been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Roberts.
