Lillian Faye Gillium Burton, age 87, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026.
Lillian Faye was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was born July 7, 1939–one of eight children of the late Joseph and Alberta (Sparks) Gillum.
She was happily married, and treasured by, the late James Cecil Louis Burton. On April 29, 1960 they were married and they shared 42 wonderful years together. They were blessed with two daughters—Allyson Faye (Joseph Brake) and Julie Anne Burton (Dan Jacobs).
She is survived by her two daughters, her grandchildren Samantha (Dan), Jane Allyson (Scott), Peter, and Julieana, and two great grandchildren.
She lived a rich life indulging in culture and travel. Lillian Faye visited all fifty states and many countries abroad. She had a passion for playing cards and was a member of several bridge groups. She was also a fifty year member of The Amicitia Club. Lillian Faye was a faithful member of the Methodist Church.
We are deeply grateful for every year, every memory we were blessed to share with Lillian Faye. We find comfort in knowing that she is being welcomed into the arms of her Heavenly Father and loved ones.
