Joyce Blair Young, 83, of Ashland, Ky died Saturday, April 29, 2023. Joyce was born August 1, 1939 in Ashland, Ky a daughter of the late Chester “Ted” and Ethel Galliher Blair. Joyce was a devout Christian. She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband Donald “Don” Young, four brothers Carl Blair Jr., James T. Blair, Gene “Mickey” Blair, and William Denny Blair, her identical twin sister Julia Blair Richardson also preceded her in death in July of 2022, also her two sisters Sheila Smith and Donna Blair. Joyce is survived by her daughter Terrie Sue Holbrook (Greg) and her son Tony Lee Young (Nancy). She has one grandson Seth Holbrook (Emily Ochs) and one granddaughter Samantha Diaz. Joyce also has three great-grandsons Kaden, Kolson, and Liam. Joyce is also survived by her siblings Jerri Cassidy of Ashland, Ky, Gloria (Dan) Bailey of Ashland, Ky, a brother Roger (Bonnie) Blair of Bethel, Ohio, and Sue (Bob) Robinette of Cincinnati, Ohio. Services for Joyce Blair Young will be Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023 at 2 pm at the Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum Chapel by Pastor Bob Hunt. Visitation will be held at the Lazear Funeral Home Chapel in Ashland from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm with a precession to the cemetery following visitation. Lazear Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to have been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Young.
