Jean Murer, 88, of Ashland, Ky died July 19, 2022 at Woodland Oaks. She was born August 2, 1933 in Ironton, Oh a daughter of the late Paul Howard and Leta Gibson Hyland. She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by a sister Helena Hyland. She is survived by her husband John “Nino” Murer, a son John (Breanna) Murer of Columbus, Oh, a daughter Diana Hogg of Beckley, WV, 5 grandchildren Luke, Jake, and Sophia Hogg and Makenna and Madelyn Murer, and 2 great-grandchildren Savannah and Cameron Hogg. A mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church by Rev. Fr. Ronald Sagum with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour before service time Friday. Lazear Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to have been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Murer.
