Dorothy L. Hardeman, 78, of Ashland, Ky died Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. She was born Sept. 18, 1945 in Greenup County, Ky a daughter of the late Leonard and Maxine Boyle Qualls. She worked at Ashland Oil in the payroll department and as an administrator. She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband Floyd Hardeman. She is survived by a son Michael (Mary) Hardeman of Fort Worth, TX, a daughter Kelli Hardeman of Lexington, KY, three granddaughters Hannah Hardeman Hatfield (Brandon), Claire Hardeman Perez (Dominic), and Emily Hardeman-Erbare, and a sister Sonda Raby of Greenup, KY. A graveside service for Dorothy will be held Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 12 Noon at Hardeman Cemetery by Pastor Duane Young. Visitation will be conducted Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 10 am to 11:30 am at the Lazear Funeral Home Chapel in Ashland. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Clyffeside Worship Church at 514 39th St Ashland, Ky 41101 and the Community Hospice Care Center at 1480 Carter Ave Ashland, Ky 41101. Lazear Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to have been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Hardeman.
