Curtis Click, age 91of Ashland, passed away November 16, 2023 at Boyd Nursing and Rehabilitation. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Fannie (Faye) Virginia Harris Click, one daughter, Rita Faye Click Bennett (Jon) of Las Vegas, NV, one son, Randall Curtis Click (Denise) of Franklin, OH, four grandchildren, Katlynn Amanda Click (TJ), Ryan Scott Bennett, Rylan Shaston Curtis Click, and Lauren Renee Bennett and three great-grandchildren, Abigail Jane, Able, and Paysleigh Groves. Mr. Click was born January 23, 1932 in Ashland, KY and was the son of the late Benjamin H. and Katie Conley Click. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Earl Click, William Click, Henry Otis Click, Paul Click and six sisters, Grace Click, Madgie Carpenter, Lena Conley, Verbie Jordan, Elizabeth Moore, and Ruth Edmond. Curtis was a hard worker. He worked on his family’s dairy farm for 25 years before entering the army and serving in the Korean War. He was a crane operator for 37 years at Kentucky Electric Steel of Colton, KY and retired in April 2000. He enjoyed gardening, camping, and spending time with his family in his retirement. Services for Curtis will be conducted Monday, November 20, 2023 at 10 AM at the Lazear Funeral Home Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Billy Harris with entombment to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before service time Monday morning. Lazear Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to have been entrusted with the care of Mr. Click.
