Cathy Lynn McGuire 62, of Ashland, Ky. died Sunday, Feb 2, 2020 in Kings Daughters Med. Center in Ashland. Cathy was born March 30, 1957 to the late William "Bill" and Merlia McKenzie McGuire. She is survived by her companion Gary Parson and an Aunt Ruth Jackson of Ashland, Ky. Our Beloved Cathy will be sadly missed by all that she has touched. A quiet celebration of her short stay here is her wish. Nurtured by her loving parents helped her develop a sense of character that most of us can only hope for. From a father that disguised the fact about his polio in order to serve in the army for the war. A mother that saved dimes to help raise her siblings, gave her the ability to have empathy for all. She detested bullying and hypocrisy, but sincerity was greeted with a loving smile. A hand covered her heart during the pledge of allegiance. Remeber her compassopm for our furry friends, as we can help pet shelters and rescues. Allow her quiet strength to guide us in our days as we try to live the Golden Rule as she did. With prayers and grace she will always be in our hearts. Services for Cathy will be conducted on Saturday, Feb 8, 2020 at 11:00am at the Lazear Funeral Home Chapel in Ashland friends may call one hour before service time at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland.
